Career
She is a native of Mayiladuthurai. Priya began her career as a software engineer at Infosys. Later she quit her job and entered the world of mass media where she worked as a Tamil Newsreader in Puthiya Thalaimurai for a few years.
After quitting Puthiya Thalaimurai television, she forayed into acting with Kalyanam Mudhal Kadhal Varai on STAR Vijay.
Lately, she is planning to pursue an Master of Business Administration degree as per the sources reported by the Deccan Chronicle. She currently plays the lead role in Kalyanam Mudhal Kadhal Varai which is a remake of Ye Hai Mohabbatein on Star Plus and she is currently hosting the show Kings of Dance on STAR Vijay along side Kavin (Saravanan Meenatchi Vettaiyan).
