Chair and Clinic of Venereal and Skin Diseases, Rostov-on-Don University. Did research on the relation of nen'ism to dermatology along lines set by South.P. Botkin and Attorney - General Polotebnov. Hypothesized the dependence of dermal processes on the condition of the organism as a whole and higher nervous activity in particular.
Pioneered injection treatment in Russia and made first examinations of the mercury content in venous and menstrual blood. Established how deep gangrene can be caused by the injection of mercury drugs. Wrote over 70 works.
