1909 graduate Saint St. Petersburg Military Engineer College. 1914 graduate Officers’ Electr Engineer School.
1918-1927 at Nizhniy Novgorod Radio Laboratory. 1929-1941 lecturer, Moscow Electr Engineer Communications Institute: from 1944 at Communications Research Institute. 1917 together with Bonch-Bruyevich at Tver’ Radio Station, organized production of first batches of radio receiving tubes.
Then studied methods of cooling heavy-duty tubes. 1930 designed ribbed-anode, air-cooled generator tubes. 1921 directed construction of Communist International Radio Station in Moscow.
1923-1941 helped design and build several powerful radio stations. Wrote works on radio engineering and history of its development in Union of the Soviet Socialist Republics.
