Worked for Russian Social-Democratic Workers’ Party organizations in Vitebsk Province and Riga. From 1907 in Saint St. Petersburg, where he contributed to Latin Social-Democratic periodicals and to Bolshevik organ “Prosveshcheniye”. After 1917 February Revol member, Bolshevik Faction, Petrograd Soviet.
After 1917 October Revol People's Commissar of Justice. Then Collegium member, People's Commissariat of Foreign Affairs. 1918-1919 chairman, Latin Soviet government.
1921-1923 Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic (Union of the Soviet Socialist Republics) Deputy People's Commissar of Justice. 1923-1932 chairman, Union of the Soviet Socialist Republics Supreme Court. Candidate member, then member, Central Committee, Russian Communist Party (Bolsheviks).
Also member, Central Committee, Communist Party Latin and its representative in the Communist International.
Religion in its origin doesn't give equal treatment to women and thus offends basic human rights.
All policy decisions should be made in the light of the continued, permanent development of the theory of Marxism–Leninism.
