Career
A right-handed batsman and right-arm medium-fast bowler, he has played for the United Arab Emirates national cricket team since 2006, including three first-class matches. Born in Dubai in 1987, Qasim Zubair first represented the United Arab Emirates at Under-15 level, playing in the Under-15 Asia Cup in Dubai in 2002. He played for the Under-19 team in the Youth Asia Cup in Karachi the following year, and in the Administrative Committee on Company-ordination Under-17 Cup in India in 2004.
His career at youth level ended with the Administrative Committee on Company-ordination Under-19 Cup in Nepal in 2005.
He made his debut for the United Arab Emirates senior team in 2006, when he played against Brunei in the Administrative Committee on Company-ordination Trophy. He made his first-class debut in January 2007, playing in a 2006 Interstate Commerce Commission Intercontinental Cup match against Scotland.
He played against Ireland in the same tournament the following month. He toured Canada with the United Arab Emirates later in 2007, playing against a Canadian Invitation XI and Ontario.
He played a 2007-2008 Interstate Commerce Commission Intercontinental Cup match against Bermuda in November.
In 2008, he played for the United Arab Emirates against Somerset and Yorkshire and most recently represented his country in the 2008 Administrative Committee on Company-ordination Trophy Elite tournament, where he played against Afghanistan and Nepal.
