Career
A Senatorial family whose origins lay in Lycia. Sosius Falco was consul ordinarius in 193 together with Julius Erucius Clarus, both of whom Emperor Commodus considered executing. Sosius Falco is known to have opposed Pertinax while both were Senators, and following the assassination of Commodus he was offered the Imperial Throne by the Praetorian Guard.
Despite this, upon becoming emperor Pertinax spared his life.
