Established in 1906 as Engle and Laub, the firm became in 1972, Adams, Forman, Truly, Ward, Smith & Bramlette.
In 1991, George Lawrence Adams and R. Brent Forman became "Of Counsel" and David C. Bramlette withdrew to become United States District Judge for the Southern District of Mississippi. In 1992, the firm name was changed to Truly, Smith, Latham & Kuehnle.
In 1995, Mr. Everette Truly became of counsel to the firm.
