Raizo Kanda graduated from Nagoya Commercial School (1888).
Career
Raizo Kanda entered business as a stock broker and by the time he had reached the age of 26 was a millionaire. This prosperity, however, did not last long for he lost everything during the Sino-Japanese War (1894-1895). After that Raizo Kanda opened a small shop trading in rare manuscripts and founded the Kanda Bank.
