Career
In 1975, Dholakia began producing music for amateur plays in Hindi, Gujarati and English. Four years later, he was introduced to the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) by friends. Dholakia worked with director Ketan Mehta on Holi, Maya Memsaab and composed music for the 1992 Gujarati film Hu Hunsho Hunshilal.
He composed the music for the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) Idaho project"s theme song, "Yehi hai Meri Pehchaan".
