Career
As President of MAIT (1990-1992), he integrated MAIT activities into those of other leading industry associations. MAIT played an active role in shaping the Information Technology policies of the Government during this formative phase. Mr. Pawar serves on the Governing Boards of IIT Delhi, Indian Institutes of Management Bangalore, ISB Hyderabad, The Scindia School and the University Court of Delhi University.
A Fellow of Computer Society of India and Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers, he was honoured as “Information Technology Manitoba of the Year” by Dataquest (1998), “Master Entrepreneur of the year” by Ernst & Young (1999), Distinguished Alumnus of IIT Delhi (1995) and Madhav Awardee of The Scindia School (1999).
Currently the chairman of NASSCOM.
