Career
He has been appointed Home Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs and former Finance Secretary, Ministry of Finance of Government of India. Prior to his appointment to the Ministry of Finance, he was the Chief Secretary, Government of Rajasthan. Rajiv Mehrishi holds a degree in business administration from Strathclyde Business School, Glasgow.
His earlier degrees were from the Saint Stephen"s College, Delhi.
