Rakshit Hrishikesh

Rakshit Hrishikesh was born on February 8, 1906 in Hooghly, West Bengal, India.

Education

Rakshit Hrishikesh graduated from Calcutta University, has Master of Sciences (1928) and Doctor of Sciences (1934). He has done research in Radio wave propagation.

Career

Rakshit Hrishikesh worked as a lecturer in Physics of the Calcutta University (1935-1944); Lecturer in Applied Physics (1944-49). He was an assistant director of the National Physical laboratory (1948-1949) and head of Physics and Electrical Communication Department of the Bengal Engineering College, Howrah (1949-1955). Rakshit Hrishikesh was a head of Electronics and Electrical Communication Engineering of the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur (since 1955).

Rakshit Hrishikesh was a fellow of the National Institute of Sciences of India, Institute of Physics (London), Indian Physical Society, Institution of Telecommunication Engineers. He toured Western Europe. He had publications: many articles and research papers.
