Wash, and Lee University, Bachelor of Arts, 1909. George Washington University Served in American Consular Service in Turkey, Persia and Egypt, 1910-1922. Elected to Virginia House of Delegates, since 1927.

N. O. Bacon, of Baltimore, Maryland., October 2, 1920 (died 1921). Children—John Hedrick and Arthur Samuel (twins). Appointed student interpreter at Constantinople, Turkey, April 1, 1910.

Interpreter to American Legation, Teheran, Persia, February 8, 1912, and continued there as v. and deputy consul general, 1912-1915, v. consul, 1915-1918, consul at Teheran, February 9, 1918-November 2, 1920, Cairo, Egypt. 1920-1922; admitted to Virginia bar, 1923.
