Career
Ram Atma worked as a research Officer of the C.S.I.R. (1942-1944); Assistant Director of the Central Glass and Ceramic Research Institute 1945-1949. He was a fellow of the National Institute of Sciences of India, Society of Glass Technology, Institute of Chemists. Ram Atma had some publications: about 70 articles and research papers.

Ram Atma was a member of the International Commission on Glass (1948), International Academy of Ceramics, Indian Science Congress Association (General Secretary), Indian Ceramic Society (Past-President), Indian Standards Institution (Chairman, Glassware Section Committee 1954 and Chairman, Ceramicware Section Committee 1956), Indian Scientists Delegation (USSR).
