Career
He was a leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He represented Thane in the 9th and 10th Lok Sabha. He was Chairman of Lok Sabha Committee on Food, Civil Supplies and Public Distribution during 1993-1994.
He was born in Nashik.
He was elected as Modern Language Association from Kalyan Vidhan Sabha constituency (85) of Maharashtra during 1985-1990.
