Educational qualification middle standard. Subsequently started a coal business at Kainjanga. Latter left it and joined fully the freedom movement
Started an ASHRAM in Patasundarpur along with Sarbani Narayan Sengupta, Balaram Choudhury, Baishnab Charan Senapati, Bibhuti Bhusan Acharya and others
He was imprisoned three times.He was kept in Banki and Berhampur Jail.
During 2nd world war he was in Berhampur jail.Learned Hindi language in Jail. Inspired by Doctor Nrupen Narayan Sengupta, brother of Sarvani Narayan Sengupta he took part in stage drama and latter became a director
He was a very good orator and he recites patriotic songs by Jatiya Kabi Birakishore Royal In 1941 worked to establish Master of Engineering school in the village, Became the secretary of the committee.
Took part in social activities.
He sacrificed his whole life for the welfare of his village and people. He was the first Sarpanch of the newly formed Jharapada Gram Panchayat.
