He has worked for more than 30 years as an actor in the mainstream commercial movie industry of Marathi as well as of Hindi. Snehal Bhatkar|Snehal (Vasudeo) Bhatkar had 3 children.

Daughter Snehalata Bhatkar (Now married to Ramkrishna Barde), Elder Son Avinash Bhatkar and Youngest Ramesh Bhatkar.

Marathi has been his first love with very prominent lead roles in numerous plays.

Achievements

• In addition to his artistic background, in his early college days he was a champion swimmer, played for the college aquatics team, and was an enthusiastic kho-kho player with the reputed Vijay Club in Dadar.
