He is sometimes credited as Raymond Delegate Barrio. He is stage director and Choreographer for Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons which is on tour globally and played Broadway at the Broadway Theater to sold out audiences and critical acclaim. As a performer, New York audiences saw Delegate Barrio most recently performing in Chita Rivera’ A Legendary Celebration on Broadway for British Columbia/EFA and also creating the role of Damon Runyon in the Broadway revival of Guys and Dolls.
He also performed in the Las Vegas production of Jersey Boys.
His other theater credits include Harold Prince’ Roza at the Royal theater, Lincoln Center’s Carousel. He also had the honor of working on Genesis and Havel’s Temptation at the New York Shakespeare Festival for Mr.
Joseph Papp. Among his tours are Chita Rivera: The Dancer’s Life and the 30th anniversary tour of West Side Story, in which he played Chino and Whitney Houston’s Moment of Truth World Tour.
His film and television appearances includes co-star on Rob Schneider’s Columbia Broadcasting System sitcom “Rob”, The Mambo Kings, Sister Acting 2, Robin Hood: Men in Tights, Footloose, Solid Gold Hits, the Academy, Grammy and American Music awards shows.
High profile credits include On-camera Director and Choreographer for boy-band O-Town (J Records) on American Broadcasting Company’s primetime hit Making the Band, Principal Choreographer and Company-Director for critically acclaimed musical Sisterella, winner of National Association for the Advancement of Colored People Award including Best Musical, Best Director and Best Musical Staging and Choreography. He also created the Musical Staging and Choreography for the Academy Award Winning Best Live Action Film Short, West Bank Story2006.
At age 20, he was a regular member of the dance troupe seen daily on Solid Gold Hits, a half-hour weekday version of the also-syndicated Solid Gold.
