Career
Her platform issue is Multiple Sclerosis Awareness. Carpenter is a graduate of the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Special Education/Learning Behavior Disorder. Known as "the girl with the green fiddle", she began playing the instrument at age 15.
Diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2010, Carpenter has served as a spokeswoman for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
After her reign as Mission Kentucky 2014 is complete, she plans to teach in the Kentucky school system, and perhaps pursue a Master"s Degree in Education.
