Career
He made his debut as a writer with Randam Bhavam (2001). His popular films include Meesa Madhavan (2002), Manassinakkare (2003), Achuvinte Amma (2005), and Naran (2005), all of them being blockbuster hits. He made his directional debut with Photographer (2006) which turned out to be a commercial failure, but created a cult following afterwards.
His latest screenplay is Ennum Eppozhum (2015).

After 10 years, Ranjan dons back the role of scriptwriter in Sathyan Anthikad - Mohanlal - Manju Warrier starrer Ennum Eppozhum.
