Career
He was assassinated in Constantinople in 1919. He eventually joined the Turkish navy. He retired from Turkish service when Abdul Hamid II was overthrown.
He refused to fight for the Turkish, against Britain, in WW1.
Namesake of Bucknam Park, Halls Harbour, Nova Scotia.
