Career
He is famously known as Ravi Sir in their area. He was a two time Modern Language Association from omerga constituency. He has also been the Chairman of Killari Sugar Factory.
His Major work has been creation of lakes to over come the drought problem in the area.
He has also contributed majorly in setting up numerous substations in the constituency to over come the electricity problems. He is a director on the agriculture board committee in the central government.
He defeated sitting Member of Parliament Padamsinha Bajirao Patil who contested from Nationalist Congress Party by 235325 votes by obtaining 607699 votes against 373374. 1995 - 1999: Member, State Legislative Assembly, Maharashtra

2014: Elected to 16th Lok Sabha
