He is the senior executive editor at NDTV India, the Hindi news channel of the NDTV news network and hosts a number of programmes including the channel"s flagship weekday show Prime Time, Hum Log and Ravish Ki Report. During the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, he did extensive field interviews in several north-Indian states about the opinions and needs of the people on the ground highlighting aspects of rural and sub-urban life which do not receive much attention in television-based network news.Noticed mostly for his offbeat approach in explaining the contemporary plight of society. He is one of the few writers who began writing micro fiction stories i.e Laprek.
He is considered by many one of the best news reporter of all time in indian history presenting news in an unbiased and neutral fashion.
He is also known for conducting the debates,interviews in peaceful manner which is becoming a rare thing in modern indian media. He was born in a small district called history city "East Champaran" with its headquarters at Motihari, in Eastern State of India, Bihar.
He studied at Loyola High School, Patna, and later on he moved to Delhi for his higher studies. He graduated from Deshbandhu college University of Delhi and received a post-graduate diploma in Journalism from the Indian Institute of Mass Communication.
