Career
Born in Chicago, he played for the Saint Louis Cardinals, Cincinnati Reds and New York Giants, all of the National League, and the Kansas City A"s of the American League. He was elected to the National League All-Star team in 1954, starting at third base and contributing a single to a five-run Netherlands fourth inning. He died at age 58 in Chicago.
