Raymond Edwin Dessy, American Chemistry educator. Achievements include development of first linear array photodiode spectrometer, of surface acoustic wave sensors; used dispersion of output of Michelson interferometer for Fourier transform spectroscopy ontolinear array to improve resolution and noise; use of fiber optics and microchannel plates in biosensors and bioseparation devices.
