Carr, Raymond Norman was born on November 20, 1890 in Franklin, Indiana, United States. Son of Norman and Eliza Esther (Wood) Carr.

Dean School of Fine Arts and professor singing and choral music, Des Moines U., 1921-1926. Dean, College of Music, Kansas Wesleyan University, Salina, Kansas, 1926-1928. Founder, 1928, and director Salina Conservatory of Music.

Tenor soloist, choral director and lecturer.
