Career
Foreign a long while active in Populist movement. Personal secretary to P. Lavrov. In Russian published first stories about Jewish life, folk art, studies and articles on sociological themes.
Later wrote in Yiddish. Toward the end of his life quit the revol movement and associated himself with conservative Jewish soc groups.
