Beatty made an immediate impact for Loyola from his first game, starting every game in his four years at the Evergreen, leading the Greyhounds to four league championships as well as two National Collegiate Athletic Association Division I tournament appearances which included a visit to the Sweet 16 in 2001. Beatty was named as the MAAC Rookie of the Year in 1999, in addition to earning 1st Team All-Conference honors from 1999 to 2002. He is the only player in MAAC Men"s Soccer history to achieve such a feat.
Beatty was ranked in the Top 20 nationally in Gaelic Athletic Association (goals against average) during all four of his seasons, including finishing second overall nationally in 2000.
He was named to the South Atlantic Regional All-America team three times, and twice named an honorable mention national All-America by collegesoccernews.com.
Beatty remains the school"s all-time shutout leader, with 43 in 80 games played.
