Reba Keele was born on April 28, 1941, in Emery, Utah, United States. She is a daughter of Frederick Manning and Pearl Valentine (Peterson) Keele.
Reba Keele studied at Brigham Young University where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech and Drama in 1963 and a Master of Arts degree in Rhetoric and Public Address in 1966. She also attended Purdue University and received a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Rhetoric and Public Address and Educational Psychology in 1974.
Reba Keele started her career as an assistant professor at Brigham Young University in 1967. She held this post until 1979 and became an associate professor of organizational behavior. In 1991 she took up a post of Dean of Undergraduate Education at the University of Utah and held this post until 1996. She has also taught Management at the University of Utah. In 2003, Keele became a Professor of Public and Community Health at Utah Valley University.
In addition to teaching, Reba Keele has also published articles, books, and research on topics regarding women, gender, and leadership. She published a book, Let's Talk: Adults and Children Sharing Feelings, in 1977. She is also a contributor to professional journals. Keele also was a writer and presenter of the television program Helping Your Child to Read in 1974.
Reba Keele is a member of the Academy of Management, American Management Association and Utah Women in History Association.
