Rees Turpin

Turpin, Rees was born on May 4, 1869 in Carrollton, Missouri, United States. Son of Henry Ballinger and Sarah Elizabeth (Rees) Turpin.

Education

Graduated from the high school, Carrollton, 1888. B.L., Washington and Lee University, Lexington, Virginia, 1892.

Career

Admitted to Missouri bar, 1892, and since practiced in Kansas City. Senior partner Turpin, Behrendt & Searing. Elected to sit as special judge in various divisions of Circuit Court, 1906-1912.

Trustee and former member of the Board of Governors Kansas City The Art Institute of Chicago.

Membership

Member American and Missouri State bar associations, Kansas City Bar Association (ex-treasurer. Club: University (president 1903). Annotated the charter and ordinances of Kansas City, 1909.
