(Dr. Crosley examines historic beliefs in an afterlife and...)
Dr. Crosley examines historic beliefs in an afterlife and how they differ from culture to culture. Then he explains the Vodou interpretation: there are two souls! One, the semido, "retains hunger for food, drink, sex, music, and dance." That's why practitioners of Vodou provide food, drink and other comforts in the tomb. The second soul or selido, does not return to visit the world of the living. You'll also learn the secrets of the mysterious zin, a jar that holds hair and fingernail parings. These are a link to the semido. From time to time a fire ritual is held to revivify the hair and nail clippings.

From the twentieth century to the present, the scientific medical establishment is taking consideration of alternative healing practices. Having witnessed positive results, medical researchers are facing urgent inquiries. What is the nature of these phenomena? Are these practices a violation of the laws of nature? Do miracles defy the laws of nature? According to author Reginald O. Crosley, M.D., the exotic scientific principles revealed in quantum mechanics, relativity theories, strings theory, and chaos theory, directly correspond to alternative medicines and miraculous healings. Crosley, in a "grand unified theory," holds that modern physics underlines the phenomena observed in unconventional modalities.

Close Encounters With God presents a study of multiple close encounters with Yahweh, the name of God in Hebrew Scripture. These encounters will enable us to have a clearer portrayal of the Self-revealed God, one who is different from the conceptualized deity envisioned through transcendental meditation, vision quest or mystical rapture. This book is an invitation to acknowledge the revelation of His own person by God Himself, in multiple close encounters with mortal men and women in our sacred Scriptures, as opposed to his conceptualization by human intuition or imagination.

2000Reginald Crosley was born on the Island of Haiti known since Columbus as "The Pearl of the Antilles." Reginald Crosley was bedazzled by the beauty of its flora and fauna, the hills, mountains, rivers, forests, sea, sunrise and sunset. It was an enchanted place that the imagination of its inhabitants has filled with fairies, loas, saints, talking animals, and angels. The marvel contributed to his interest in poetry, folkloric and classical music and painting. Thus Reginald Crosley wanted to be a Renaissance Man.
