Career
Galbally began her career in the early 70s as a teacher at secondary and tertiary levels. In the late 70s she was senior policy analyst for the Victorian Council of Social Services (VCOSS). in the early 80s Rhonda was appointed Chief Executive Officer of the Sidney Myer Fund and the Myer Foundation, Australia"s progressive philanthropic grantmakers. In 2011, Galbally was appointed as establishment Chief Executive Officer of the newly created Australian National Preventive Health Agency - involving developing the first five-year strategic and operational plans.
She is currently the Chair of the International Evaluation Committee for the Thai Health Promotion Foundation, the Chair of the National People with Disability and Carer"s Council.
Rhonda is Patron of the National Disability and Carer"s Alliance and Compassionate Friends. Pluto Press published her only book, Just Passions (1-86403-296-0) in 2004.
