Richie Eyres is the brother of the Widnes Vikings, Keighley Cougars, and Rochdale Hornets rugby league wing, and scrum-half/halfback of the 1980s and "90s, Andrew "Andy" Eyres.

Richie Eyres is unusual in having initially represented England and then gone onto represent Wales.
