Career
In 2014 Irvin was able to defeat incumbent Mike Fleck, as a write in candidate, in the Republican primary election. Fleck still stood for reelection through, but as a Democrat. Irvin went on to beat Mike Flick in the general election.
Irvin attended Juniata Valley High School and got a Bachelor of Surgery in accounting from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
Richard Irvin previously served as Huntingdon County"s first Treasurer and the County Tax Claim Director from 1996-2013.
