After an education in the city schools, the young man studied drawing under the artist Melchiers, later entered the office of Richard Raseman as architectural student
He entered the office of Richard Raseman and was promoted to the post of head draftsman. During practice under the firm name he was connected with the design of many public and commercial buildings in Detroit includng the first State Bank Building, 1912-13; Bethel Evengelical Church, 1915; Evangelical Deaconess’ Hospital, 1923, several industrial plants in Detroit and in addition a number of private homes.
In architectural practice after 1900, formerly associated with the late Gustave A. Mueller, and after 1908 in partnership with Adolph Eisen under the firm name of Mildner & Eisen.
Mr. Mildner entered the office of Richard Raseman as architectural student, afterward promoted to the post of head draftsman.

After 1908 Mr. Mildner workedin partnership with Adolph Eisen under the firm name of Mildner & Eisen, with offices in the Hammond Building.
