Career
He became well known in Northumberland after summitting in 2009, which created front page headlines in the local newspaper "The Journal". The summit also attracted further media attention from British Broadcasting Corporation Look-North, British Broadcasting Corporation Radio Newcastle and marketing for the Northumberland County Council. He currently writes a blog on "The Journal" website.
Richard Pattison climbed on a commercial expedition organised by Summitclimb via the South Colonel route from Nepal.
