Mr Raseman designed a number of early buildings in Detroit, one of which was the old Municipal Building dating from the late 19th century, erected on the west side of San Antoine Street between Gratiot Avenue and Catherine Street . During his career he practiced successively with the late Julius Hesse, Henry M Freier (for a few years after 1925), and during the 1930's in partnership with his son, Richard P. (Raseman & Raseman) with an office m the Murphy Building (retired after 1940).
Mr Raseman was one of the early members of the Western Association of Architects.
