Career

Began acting in Canada, 1889. Has toured United States and Canada as dramatic reader. Teacher of dramatic art, North Carolina, many years.

Conducts dramatic school in Agricultural and Technology School for Colored Race, Greensboro, North Carolina, since 1921. Principal role that of “God” in “The Green Pastures,” in which play he has appeared over 1300 times, 640 in Mansfield Theatre, New New York.
