Traveling representative circulation department Atlanta Journal, 1901-1903. With Montgomery (Alabama) Advertiser since 1903, city circulation department, 1905-1906, assistant cashier and bookkeeper, 1906-1910, cashier, 1910-1913, business manager and treasurer, 1913-1927, general manager, treasurer, 1927-1934, president public, 1934-1935, purchased paper, May 18, 1935, now owner, chairman. Purchased Alabama Journal, December, 1940, now president-public and owner both morning, evening and Sunday.
