Aide-de-camp to General Sir George White, 1900. Promoted into 21st Lancers, 1901 (despatches, Queen’s medal with clasp, Companion of the Distinguished Service Order). Instructor, Cavalry School, 1906. Companion of the Distinguished Service Order 1900; 5th Lancers.
