Woodward, Hobson & Fulton was founded in 1917 by Ernest Woodward, Senior after a year"s service as General Attorney for the Louisville & Nashville Railroad Company. Members of the firm over its long history have become judges of the United States Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States District Court for the Western District of Kentucky, and one had been Chief Justice of the Kentucky Court of Appeals (now the Kentucky Supreme Court) before joining the firm.
