O'GRADY-HALY, Richard Hebden was born on February 22, 1841 in Tunbridge Wells. Son of General Sir William O’GradyHaly, Knight Commander of the Bath, of Ballyhaly, Company Cork, and Harriette, daughter of Hamilton Hebden, of Ely Grange Frant, Sussex.
Education
Studied at Royal Military College Sandhurst. Topographical Prizeman, Royal Military College. Graduated Staff College, 1881 with “special mention” in Law, Administration, and Topography.
