Practiced Ardmore, Oklahoma, 1917-1929, Oklahoma City, 1929-1936.

Candidate for congressman, 5th Oklahoma District, withdrew when appointed member United States Board of Tax Appeals, position held from 1936 (judge, The Tax Court of the United States).
