Goode, Richard Livingston was born on February 4, 1855 in Henry County, Kentucky, United States. Son of William Thomas and Martitia Elizabeth (Guthrie) Goode.

Education

Student Drury College, Springfield, Missouri, 1875-1876, Master of Arts, 1880, Doctor of Laws, 1901. Studied law with Jere C. Cravens, Springfield.

Career

Admitted to Missouri bar, 1879, and practiced in Springfield. Was partner with Jere C. Cravens 20 years. City attorney 1 year.

President School Board 6 years. Attorney of Knights of Columbus, Fort Scott & Memphis Railway Company, 1896-1901. Judge Court of Appeals, St. Louis, 1901-1910.

Professor equity, 1906-1910, professor of law and dean law school, 1915-1919 and since 1921, Washington University. Justice Supreme Court State of Missouri, 1919-1921. Counsel Mercantile Trust Company, Mercantile National Bank, etc.
