Admitted to bar, 1861, and since in practice at Elizabethtown. President Elizabethtown Water Company, Elizabethtown & Westport Plank Road Company. Secretary, treasurer Elizabethtown Cemetery Association Editor Elizabethtown Post, 1859-1867.

Was president of village and Chairman of the Board education. Commissioner State Board Charities, New York, since 1908. Commissioner state prisons, appointed, 1907.

Commissioner in charges against District Attorney Jerome, 1908. Democratic nominee for company judge, 1878, 1890, for justice Supreme Court, 1885, 1903. Home: Elizabethtown, New York.
