A master of all periods of the history of Philosophy, McKeon developed a metaphilosoPhy focused on the methods and language of Philosophy, authoring numerous erudite scholarly essays. He espoused a radical pluralism, ^hile he sought to reach irenic standpoints to 'nterpret dialectically philosophical disagreements. He also pursued applications of his Pluralism in international relations, serving as a HS delegate to UNESCO and as American Cultural Ambassador in France in 1945-1947.
