Career
McCarthy made his first appearance for the team during the 2011 championship and has become a regular player over the last few seasons. In 2013, McCarthy became the first Limerick player to be selected as an All-Star since 2007. At club level McCarthy is an All-Ireland medalist in the junior grade with Blackrock.
