He played for the Kansas City Athletics during the 1964 season and the Philadelphia Phillies from 1967 to 1970. Primarily a first baseman and third baseman, he stood 6 feet 1 inch (185 m) tall and weighed 192 pounds (87 kg). He threw and batted right-handed.
The performance earned him a late August call-up to the Phillies.
