Career
He was drafted in the sixth round, 116th overall, by the Buffalo Sabres in the 1979 National Hockey League Entry Draft. He didn"t play in the National Hockey League, however, until 1993: appearing in fourteen games with the Los Angeles Kings. Knickle played for eleven different International Hockey League teams in his career.
Knickle joined the Phoenix Coyotes as their Director of Amateur Scouting on July 28, 2011.
