Career
He was also a House Majority Leader. Miera did not seek reelection in 2014. Miera is an alumnus of the University of Albuquerque, receiving his Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts there in 1973.
He has worked as a consultant and therapist but is currently retired.
